Reset VitalControl device

Reset settings on VitalControl device and/or delete all animal data.

1 - Reset VitalControl device to factory settings

Restoring default values on your VitalControl device by performing a factory reset.

Performing a factory reset

  1. Open the menu item Device in the main screen of your VitalControl device.

  2. Invoke the submenu Data management, navigate to the menu entry Factory reset. Leave the suggested option All device data unchanged.

  3. Press the OK button to trigger the factory reset. Now a pop-up with a security question appears. Confirm with Yes here.

  4. Settings are reset to factory defaults now. A start-up menu appears, enter your langauge, date and time there.

  5. Your VitalControl device is successfully reset to factory settings now.

2 - Erasing all animal data

Learn how to delete all animals and their data from your VitalControl device.

Erasing all animal data from device

  1. Open the menu item Device in the main screen of your VitalControl device.

  2. Invoke the submenu Data management, navigate to the menu entry Factory reset. Select the option Animal data only in this menu.

  3. Press the OK button to trigger erasure of animals. Now a pop-up with a security question appears. Confirm with Yes here.

  4. Animal data are erased and a success message appears.

  5. All animal data are now erased from VitalControl device. You can check the success of the erasure via the menu item Herd in the main menu:
